Sarah Fuchs is currently a sophomore at Macaulay Honors College at Queens College. She is majoring Economics and Minoring in Accounting and Business and Liberal Arts (BALA). Fun fact: she has competed in 2 CrossFit competitions and placed in 4th for weightlifting in one of them.
" I love mock trial and this past year was my fifth year competing in mock trial competitions. Mock Trial has given me the chance to bond with a lot of amazing people over something that we all love. The Pre-Law Association has allowed me to hear from a plethora of fascinating people with various backgrounds in law." Luban Sadiq is currently a sophomore at Queens College. She is studying to receive a degree in English. She has played witnesses for the Queens College Mock Trial team and also has prior experience playing an attorney. Luban plans to attend law school after graduation in order to pursue a career as an attorney. In her free time, she loves playing tennis and is a fan of just about any breed of dog.
Aaron Vivar is currently in his fourth year at Queens College, pursuing a degree in Accounting. He interested in working in the financial sector when he graduates. He joined the team in 2014 as a witness and competed in the regional competition in Baltimore in February 2015. Although he does not plan to become a lawyer, he really enjoys being a part of the PLA.
"One thing I really appreciated about mock trial is that it improved my self-confidence. The people I worked with were nothing but positive and supporting. I highly recommend it to anyone that’s interested in meeting great people and improving self-confidence." Amos Elaigu is currently a sophomore majoring in Political Science and minoring in Philosophy. After finding great success in the National High School Moot Court scene, he has reintroduced Moot Court to Queens College with the hope of leading the new team to greater heights. He has interned for Judge Joseph Esposito of the Queens County Civil Court, and plans on perusing a career in the legal field.
Sandy Chen is currently a junior at Queens College, majoring in Political Science. She is honored to be a member of The Pre-law Association and the mock trial team. It has allowed her to gain first-hand insight into criminal law and trial.
